I cannot see the video although my Payment was accepted

Hi bc:

Sorry. I reread your post and I guess I'm a little unclear still.

Was I wrong about what I posted below? Were you actually able to save the MPEG-4 file to your computer? Are you actually getting the Quicktime error message when you try to play the video?

Even in this event, try either (or both) of the following:

1. Right mouse click on the MPEG-4 file. You'll get a dropdown menu. Scroll down to "Open With..." Select Windows Media Player.

2. As described below, check your default settings (Control Panel). Make sure that Quicktime is NOT your default video player. If it is, change it so Windows Media Player is your default video player. Try again.

Together we will get this solved, bc. Once and for all. They don't call me "Bulldog" for nuthin'!!!

(...Or perhaps it's really my boyish good looks?)

Ttime ;-)

D'OH! I'm sorry for the confusion, bc. I meant for you to try alt + left mouse click on Tara's MPEG-4 link. My apologies for the mix up. The link that I included was to a discussion thread about download difficulties, I was just including that for reference info in case you wanted to read it yourself. Please try alt + left mouse click on Tara's video link.

So I understand that you are using Google Chrome as your browser now? OK. I thought that was the one that was giving you difficulties, but I misunderstood.

"...It now saves the file as MPEG-4 video HOORAY...YIPPEE happy days

BUT..

When entering to download the file, after a few seconds...................................................I get this message yhat Quicktime does not recognize this type of file...!!!!!!!!"
I just want to make sure I understand- So you right mouse click the video link, "Save as," the file type appears as MPEG-4 in the "Type" field, but a few seconds after you start downloading it "gags" and you get that Quicktime error message?

Is my understanding correct?

I'm just taking a stab in the dark here, it sounds like maybe your default video player is set to Quicktime? Can you try to change your default video player to Windows Media Player? That's what works for me & I'm running Windows 7 similar to you, so maybe try that? DISCLAIMER: I'm not a true "techie" here, I'm just trying to make some educated guesses. If Quicktime is your default player, possibly it might be trying to "hijack" your download? (CONSULTING JARGON! Normally I would charge you an extra "jargon fee." But I'll waive it because I like you, bc! :-)

So to summarize, maybe you should try:

1. alt + left mouse click on Tara's video link (What the heck? It might work.)

If that doesn't work:

2. Change your default settings to make Windows Media Player your default video player.

3. Using Google Chrome as your browser (if the file type defaults to MPEG-4 like you said), try again to right click Tara's video link ("Save As"). Maybe you won't get the Quicktime error if it isn't your default video player(?)

Please let me know how it turns out. If it still doesn't work, I can still try to help you troubleshoot.

Ttime :-)

Hey Ttime. Tried your link...but to no avail, sadly.

Downloaded another browser as you suggested (chrome) and guess what!!!!!!!!!???????

It now saves the file as MPEG-4 video HOORAY...YIPPEE happy days

BUT..

When entering to download the file, after a few seconds...................................................I get this message yhat Quicktime does not recognize this type of file!!!!!!!!

Sledgehammer approach here I come :-(

Hi Subby:

Long time no see!

Yup. What is it with young people these days? Pictures of "twerking” and tongues and what not… Disgraceful! I remember “back in the day” when much of the art and “T”hrill came from NOT getting caught (And it was only the stories that led to as much immortality, or plausible deniability, as you wished. Therefore you kept at least some degree of control… ;-) Managing to evade the “constabulary” without a trace was worth extra points! And success was measured by the articles of clothing (type and/or quantity) that were lost over the course of the evening. Of course occasionally you actually acquired new “fashion accessories” such as tattoos, street signs, or…umm…err… crutches. (Depth perception can be impaired at night. Fences can be taller than they appear. Not that I would know firsthand, of course. But I’ve heard stories…)

Ttime ;-)

These are examples of those “accident prone” Theiss-designs from the original Star Trek series that Ttime is talking about:

Actress Sherry Jackson and “Ruk” (Ted Cassidy) from “What Are Little Girls Made Of?:”

And Angelique Pettyjohn in “The Gamesters of Triskelion:”

No wonder Theiss collected so many Emmy award nominations and wins! Those designs not only defied gravity, they somehow totally evaded the NBC-TV censors! People who catch up with the original TREK for the first time now, just can’t believe how risqué some of the costumes were for a prime-time ‘60’s show. I can’t help but wonder how well those “Trek” costumes would hold up in the water? And speaking of water, it’s pretty obvious that whoever designed Mermaid Porchia’s amazing tankini must be a mad genius! I suspect that there are very few women in the world who could ever manage to make that suit look so good; she “owns” it in more ways than one!
And, for Heaven’s sake Ttime, NEVER EVER post drunk “selfies” on Facebook! Flickr.com and Picasa are much better places for that!

subby

…You know how sometimes we post things that we regret later? Like many people post their drunk pictures on Facebook? :-P

Well, this isn’t on nearly the same scale of regret, of course! But something did occur to me after I posted my most recent comments on Mermaid Porchia’s gallery...

Having observed her minor struggles with her swimsuit throughout her video (Clearly of independent spirit! …On the other hand, perhaps it wasn’t actually her swimsuit that she was struggling with? HOPE SPRINGS ETERNAL! :-), I had quipped something to the effect of “Please don’t readjust yourself on MY account!”

…But it occurred to me later how much her Pretty Persistence™! actually enhanced my enjoyment of this video! And that my world is now a much happier place because of her! (And where else but Aquawomen's underwater realm could we experience such "modest" magnificence???)

So PLEASE disregard what I said earlier, Mermaid Porchia! Don’t Change For You. Don’t Change A Thing For Me…

Ttime ;-)

Hi bc:

Sounds like you’re doing the right things. Wow, that’s a “poser.” Sadly :-( I have to admit that I’m probably not as smart about computers as Tara thinks, so I humbly defer to her “techies.”

I had a look at my Google Chrome download settings, which appear to allow me to set a default location (folder) for downloads, but nothing for file types.

So a couple more questions/suggestions:

-Try alt + left mouse click on the link?
http://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/chrome/xPDeUKKCHEE

-Have you tried to use a different browser (Firefox, IE…)? Did that help, or did you get the same results?

“Sledgehammer” approach:

-Perhaps you might try manually typing in the file extension (.mp4) at the end of the filename? (Sounds like maybe you already tried that, sometimes that seems to work for .wmv files…)

I’m trying to guess whether it’s a browser thing, or a Windows thing. It sounds like there’s some default somewhere (either in Chrome or in Windows) that keeps pointing your “save as” to the .html file type. If you don’t have the problem with another browser such as Firefox or IE, then I’d guess it’s a Chrome thing. But if you’ve got the same problem with all your browsers, I’d guess it’s a Windows default settings thing…?

I hate these new software products that they’ve “dumbed down” so you have less control over what they do. I don’t have Windows 7 Pro (so maybe there’s something unique to that?), but I have Windows 7 Home Schlepper-Knows-Enough-To-Be-Dangerous Premium version. I “customize” (a.k.a. tinker :-P) my “cartoon airplanes” quite a bit and I hated Windows 7 at first because of all the stuff I had to grant “Administrator” permission to do. I’ve gotten mostly numb to it now. But it’s MY computer and I want to set it to meet MY needs!

Sorry once again if I’ve reiterated the obvious. Keeping my fingers crossed for you! Hopefully Tara’s “techies” can resolve! :-)

Oh. Tonight's mission: Supermarine Scimitar deck landing & “TOC” (top of climb). HMS Ark Royal "standing in" for HMS Hermes, Indian Ocean, early 1960's. Must’ve taken a special “flavor” of lunatic to fly a beast like this from a boat! :-)

(Smidge too low, but I “trapped” safely. :-) Easy to run off the other end in this thing! Appears to be venting excess bleed air overboard? I've got a high power setting & a compressor stall/surge would've ended REALLY badly moments before. Apparently they spared no detail... ;-)

(Look at that shimmering blue water! There's GOT to be a mermaid to show off for down there SOMEPLACE... ;-)

Ttime :-)

Ok, knife down, return safely to sheath...Windows 7 professional, google browser...all good until I get to file name(does not register the .mp4 after the file name!!
Save as Type defaults to HTML document or All Files, these are my only options....this is where I fetch the knife again...

Thanks for help Ttime, alas, hopefully Tara's techies can assist. Strange that I can download You Tube mp4 files???????

Thanks so much Tara. Gonna try Ttime method first & see what happens.....watch this space!!!!

Hi bc:

First, PUT THAT KNIFE DOWN, SILLY! We can help! :-) Secondly, I don’t know what “flavor” OS & browser you run- Windows or Mac? Due to my nasty flight simulation habit I am a “Windows Boy” (almost all flight sims are Windows based). I have Windows 7 to be exact, with Google Chrome as my browser. I’m not familiar with Mac, though I did have one a looooooong time ago. So if you’re on Mac and/or a different browser I don’t know if this might work differently(?)

It doesn’t play for me directly if I just click the link directly, I have to download and save the file to a folder on my C Drive first. Have you tried this?

So this might be a dumb question, but are you clicking the MPEG-4 Video link with your right mouse button? That should result in a drop down menu box with several options to open or save. On mine, the 4th item down says “Save Link As…” I then click this with my left mouse button and I get a “Save As” dialog box that opens to the folder in which I will save the file. If you’re on Windows 7 like I am, it normally defaults to your Downloads folder, but I’ve selected a special folder on my C Drive for such aquatic specialness :-)

At the bottom of the dialog box, you should have a couple of fields available. The first one is File Name and should default to the file name and extension that Tara saved the file as (“PorchiaFlowery.mp4” in this case). Below that is another field which says “Save As Type.” Mine defaults to “MPEG-4 Movie” in this case, which is of course exactly what I want. Seeing that the fields are correct, I left click the “Save” button at the bottom, and the mpeg file downloads (eventually :-P) to my selected folder. Subsequently, I open up my folder, find the “PorchiaFlowery” file, left click and there she is in full flowery swimming beauty!

Sorry if I’ve stated the blathering obvious here, but this is what works for me. Save it to my disk first as an mpeg4 file and then play it.

Thank you! I’m glad you like my “cartoon airplanes!” Not related to any Aquwomen stories or anything, but here’s some seasonally-themed screen captures I did recently with one of my new “toys” (vintage Gee Bee Model Z racer) and my scenery (Cleveland National Air Races circa 1930’s USA). In real life, the Gee Bees were notoriously tricky to fly, and the simulation is quite true to form. No need for “shooters” in order to get a “T”hrill from this game!:

One of the more “exhilarating” quirks of this airplane was that the ailerons could aerodynamically stall before the rest of the wing, so that if you don’t finesse her just right she can get into the air but her “steering” (roll control) doesn’t work! :-O Or she’ll suddenly drop a wing into the ground while you’re trying to land (but haven’t touched down yet). I would’ve been both “T”hrilled and “T”errified at the same time to have flown her!

But I digress, and I thank Tara for her indulgence and her bandwidth. Did this help any, I hope? Good luck, & let me know if there’s anything else I might help with!

Ttime :-)

My, I’m still catching up! So busy in fact, that I even missed “International Talk Like a Pirate Day” last Thursday! Better late than never I suppose, so I thought I’d share my vision of my FAVORITE pirate ship :-)

…Sporting my custom-made “Pirate Wings,” even! ;-)

I also have a large Jolly Roger draped over one wall of my bar, which I considered bringing to work but I forgot. :-P

Anyway, here goes!: ”YO HO HO and a bottle of Yamazaki!”

How was that? No? Doesn’t sound quite right, does it? OK. Sorry. I tried...

But one thing I can say for sure is that my TIMBERS were most thoroughly SHIVERED by Mermaid Porchia here! Ooooooooooh yes!

And she was well worth waiting for, to be sure! EVERY. AGONIZING. SECOND…

Delightful video. DELIGHTFUL. Consulting The Maxims of Manhood, I am forbidden to use this word

Neither am I supposed to admit to taking pictures of flowers:

…Oh, but to be a bee in her subaquatic “bonnet?” ;-) Would I! No stings, of course!

Nor am I supposed to leave long, rambling comments where I sound like an editor for a ladies’ fashion magazine…

But fortunately, thanks to Maxim #100, I am off the hook! YAY!!!

Real men don’t blindly follow maxims! And in any event, Mermaid Porchia is worth breaking EVERY RULE IN THE BOOK for! Yes! So I have the latitude to apply my judgment to reject dogmatic adherence and to express my genuine appreciation for our Aquawomen Mermaids™ here!

Like Mermaid Porchia here, who is simply water-nymphically adorable (YES! I actually said that!) in this video!

…So was I crystal clear in my previous anticipatory comments, Mermaid P? That I desperately want to "just watch you swimming" underwater? That there is almost NOTHING more exciting in the entire universe than to behold your submerged & freely flirting female form? And that I sincerely hope you will see fit to indulge us so again in the future…?

(And I hope you didn’t hurt yourself thumping the camera housing…?)

”…those of our members who have patiently waited for more flowery swim cap scenarios…?” You know Mermaid T, this is one of those examples of evolving tastes in aquaphilia. As I’ve mentioned previously, for years I never had any particular interest in swim caps. Only in relatively recent years did I begin to realize that I was actually turned on by girls who like to wear swimcaps. I was especially “captivated” by girls wearing extraordinarily smooth & snug swimcaps, as Mermaid Elise wears so well here. And now again, perhaps within the past year or so, I’ve begun to really enjoy girls wearing flowery styled swimcaps too! With special thanks to Mermaid Porchia here, I might now even say that my flowery swimcap fetish is truly blossoming…? (HAH! YES! Another MoM violation! WOOHOO! :-)

”…wearing her very own gorgeous, sexy, black, strappy Tankini along with a super pure white, flowery, rubbery swimming cap, which seems to compliment her outfit beautifully…? I heartily second that, Mermaid T! First, it’s always fun & exciting to see an Aquawomen Mermaid model her very own swimsuits! Even more so as I can see that Mermaid Porchia shares the same taste in women’s swimsuit fashions as I do! (Only within the context that she likes to wear them and I like to see her wear them! Let’s be perfectly clear about THAT!) And despite my well-known preoccupation with white swimsuits, I also love a proverbial “tiny black swimsuit” such as this! :-O On Mermaid Porchia, of course! Her “strappy and cappy” look decidedly works for me, and I soooooooooo love those little stringy tie accents at her hips & back as she swims through the water! :-O Topped off with the flowery swimcap, her outfit has a decidedly 1960’s flavor to it, only better! The revealing criss-cross style is especially reminiscent of William Ware Theiss, who was the costume designer for the original Star Trek television series in the 1960’s. The "Theiss Titillation Theory"—which claims that "the degree to which a costume is considered sexy is directly proportional to how accident-prone it appears to be"—is named after him. And as you well know, I am a BIG subscriber to this theory! (@ 0:39, 1:33,2:16, etc.- No need to readjust yourself on MY account, my dear! I love your “peek-a-boob” top! ;-) Theiss also had to be careful though, because he still needed to keep the approval of relatively conservative TV censors of the time. But Mermaid Porchia looks totally “Goldilocks” (juuuuuuuuust right! :-) in her outfit!

LOOOOOOOOOOVE her Sensuous Sinuosity™ @ about 1:50-2:00!!!!! :-O

CUTE over-the-shoulder glance @ 2:22!

@2:45- FLIRT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-O :-O :-O :-O :-O :-O :-O :-O :-O :-O (You can do that AGAIN sometime. Really! I won’t mind! :-) Seriously. I find such falling-down firtatiousness to be even more exciting than going completely topless! Yes! Really!

…And Hollywood could never have produced such a happy ending! :-O

THESE PRECIOUS 5 MINUTES, capturing a fabulously fluid female form such as Porchia's underwater, are what video was invented for, Mermaids P and T!!!! This one’s an award winner. A definite keeper!

And I do soooooooooooo look forward to see more of Mermaid Porchia “just swimming” again sometime! :-D

In fact, you deserve some flowers! Sorry, it’s fall now and the flowers are retreating for winter in this part of the world. So this is the best I can do. But doesn’t it kind of match Porchia’s swimcap?

“SWIMMINGLY” WELL DONE! :-D THANK YOU FOR YOU, MERMAIDS P AND T!!!!

Ttime :-O :-O :-O :-O :-O

Hello Boys,

Oh Dear bc, why didn't you say so before ?
That's the first time I have heard of this problem.
I don't know the answer but Tt might ? He's clever with computers.
In the meantime, I will certainly ask our Tecky for you on Monday.

luv

Tara

Hi Ttime. Thanks Bud, yes, much better indeed. Haha, u even considered moving??? Just shows the influence that Tara & co have on us hey!! Maybe you should consider a petition or something???

Fully agree, the Real Player vids downloaded very easily & quickly too. I suppose technology has to move and we need too move with it!!

My problem is that as soon as I click on the link MPEG-4 Video (.mp4), it comes up as an HTML document and not a video, and I cannot change this setting somehow!!!! Hoo boy, gonna slit my wrists soon.

But the Pics sets are still great value for money, hence reason why I will always stay a member :-):-):-).

All the best, just love your model plane pics too.
Cheers

Hi bc! Hope you're feeling better. I should clarify that actually it has nothing to do with the file. It works fine for me once I've got it downloaded. My issue (among many! ;-) is that my internet service in general is terrible. Not unique to Aquawomen but just about everything- Netflix, games, my "cartoon airplane" (simulation model) file downloads, etc. It stinks. I'm kind of stuck with DSL. I previously tried high speed digital internet but the problem there was connection reliability. Definitely high speed, IF I could get a connection in the first place. There's something wrong with my router, or the routers for my neighborhood or something. I've even considered moving, it's gotten that bad. However, I also have a "conspiracy theory" that like so many other products & services these days, my ISP intentionally provides an abysmal level of "basic service" only to charge you extra for "premium service" that in reality just brings you to a nominally acceptable level of service (like the airline business model). Such is the way of the world today- overpromise, underdeliver, and try to BS you into believing that it's the greatest thing in the world. From which Aquawomen is truly an exception, of course, as Tara & Co. always (and beautifully) exceed expectations!

OK. Rant over. But for me, Tara's video files work fine. I liked the Real videos before, except that something changed the format along the way and eventually I couldn't sync videos to one of my devices in the correct aspect ratio, even when I had supposedly (manually) reset it to the correct values. The mp4 files work fine for me. But my internet service stinks. :-P

Ttime

Guess my PC must be as old as Ttimes as I also cannot open the MP4 vids?? Just love this combo on this very sexy aquawomen. Mmmm...maybe a photoset to follow???

OF COURSE I’m happy to watch you swimming around, Mermaid Porchia! That’s why I’m HERE!

…OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH, but a strappy-tankini-flowery-capped swimming Porchia is WHAT TTIMES LOVE BEST!

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

OK, OK, OK… Getting a little carried away now. But I’m soooooooooooooooooooo excited!

“Wet Dreams in Black and White !” Well, THAT didn’t take very long. Did it, Mermaid T? How immature and embarrassing… And I haven’t even seen the video yet! :-O

But alas, I shall have to wait until tomorrow. So I shall drift off to sleep with visions of “Porchiaplums” swimming in my head. If I can sleep at all, that is! I’m very excited, Mermaids P and T.

More later…

WET DREAMS MAY COME! This is one beautiful underwater clip that swimcap lovers will treasure. Fans of Mermaid Porchia are just going to adore it, too! She’s pure poetry in motion in the water, displaying her individual swim style and ability, while proving beyond a doubt that she’s THE gorgeous young Aquawoman who radiates “cuteness” much the same way that the Sun radiates heat! This video is five minutes and twenty seconds of Mermaid Porchia’s heavenly swimming in the pool. It’s a showcase of her talent in the water, and further evidence of something that fans of this website already know: this lady is a true “water baby!

Subscribers who are swimcap fans will no doubt recognize exactly how rare that head cover is; but Porchia’s beautiful tankini swimsuit (definitely not something that you see at the beach or the pool every day!) also looks VERY outstanding on her, somehow managing to “string” along for the swim with her!

Thanks, Aquawomen! Anytime we’re privileged to see a Mermaid as beautiful as Porchia in her element, of course we are VERY happy!
